Description of Work

Working on behalf of property management company, our gardening team was hired to maintain gardens within  a residential block of flats. Due to experience in corporate maintenance strategies and access to professional machinery we’ve got this unmaintained site back into shape within just a few hours.

Site is located near junction of 2 busy roads in Tooting Bec, this means that large amount of litter and debris is thrown and blown by wind into the site and surrounding hedges. All that litter had to be collected before we mowed the lawns, shaped shrubs, swept all hard surfaces and collected loose leaves.

As a  special request and additional service we carried out our lawn treatment service. Gardeners treated and removed moss and thatch from all the ornamental lawns in order to allow them to regenerate all the grass areas. Our professional scarifying machine was required, which resulted in a more than one tonne of pulled-unwanted material, which was stopping the growth of healthy lawn.

Seasonal mixture of seeds, fertiliser and top dressing was applied to improve grass conditions and boost the growth.

Last and very important gardening task was hedge trimming near main road entrance. Overgrown privet hedges were blocking the access, which created unsafe environment for residents entering the site. Top of the hedges were shaped and sides cut one-third of the plant growth as per local council specifications. At the end we raked all the trimmings and left site clean and tidy.
