St John’s Church is a Grade II listed building, built back in 1881, and it was designed by architect William Bassett Smith. The church is welcoming, friendly and spacious, with some memorials for local people. Most of the windows are Victorian; stained glass is of a high standard of artistry, they give an excellent impression of colour and reverence. The main Organ of the church was built in 1883, by one of the finest Victorian organ builders in UK J W Walker & Sons of London.
